#IskandarPuteri – Dewan Negeri Johor bersetuju memilih Dato’ Ng Keng Heng sebagai Ahli Dewan Negara bagi tempoh tiga tahun atas kepimpinan luas dalam politik, masyarakat dan perniagaan serta sumbangan terhadap pembangunan komuniti dan kemajuan negeri ini.<\/p>\n

Pencalonan Keng Heng dikemukakan oleh Menteri Besar, Dato\u2019 Onn Hafiz Ghazi mengikut Jadual Ketujuh, Perkara 45 Perlembagaan Persekutuan pada Mesyuarat Kedua Bagi Penggal Persidangan Keempat Dewan Negeri Johor Ke-15, semalam.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Cadangan tersebut kemudiannya disokong oleh YB Dato\u2019 Zahari Sarip, Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pertanian, Industri Asas Tani dan Kemajuan Luar Bandar Negeri Johor yang mendapat persetujuan majoriti Ahli-Ahli Dewan Negeri Johor.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Pemilihan Keng Heng, 57, yang merupakan tokoh berwibawa memiliki latar belakang pendidikan dan pengalaman luas dalam bidang politik, organisasi dan masyarakat itu diisytiharkan oleh YB Datuk Dr. Mohd Puad Zarkashi, Speaker Dewan Negeri Johor.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Keng Heng yang pernah berkhidmat sebagai Ahli Majlis Daerah Kota Tinggi berkelulusan Ijazah Sarjana Muda Pengurusan Sumber Manusia dari Open University Malaysia dan Ijazah Sarjana Keselamatan, Kesihatan dan Alam Sekitar dari Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Selain penglibatan politik, beliau sangat aktif dalam pelbagai pertubuhan bukan kerajaan (NGO) sekali gus menjadikannya seorang tokoh amat dihormati oleh masyarakat atas dedikasi tinggi terhadap pembangunan masyarakat dan kemajuan Johor.<\/p>\n
