ISKANDAR PUTERI —<\/strong> Lawatan kerja rasmi Menteri Besar Johor ke Singapura, membuka peluang kepada delegasi kerajaan negeri menerima pendedahan berhubung mekanisme negara jiran menguruskan sungai dan bencana banjir.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi berkata, beliau berkesempatan belajar dengan lebih mendalam cara Singapura membersihkan sungai-sungainya dan langkah mitigasi banjir yang terancang.<\/p>\n

“Saya mendengar taklimat oleh Lembaga Utiliti Awam (PUB) Singapura berkenaan Program Air dan Empangan Marina; Aktif (Active), Indah (Beautiful) dan Bersih (Clean) (ABC).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Saya berpeluang untuk melawat kawasan Empangan Marina (Marina Barrage). Dengan kelebaran seluas 350 meter, ianya mampu menghalang penerobosan air masin dan juga berfungsi sebagai tebatan banjir di tengah-tengah bandar Singapura,” kata beliau di Facebook rasminya.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Onn Hafiz memberitahu telah diberikan penerangan mengenai Loji Penyahgaraman berfungsi merawat air di permukaan mahupun air laut, selain kemampuan menghasilkan 137,000 kubik meter air atau kira-kira 30 juta gelen air bersih sehari.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Johor juga sedang dan akan terus berusaha membersihkan sungai dan mengurangkan risiko banjir,” kata beliau.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Turut hadir, Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan Negeri Johor, Dato’ Mohd Jafni Md Shukor serta Pesuruhjaya Tinggi Malaysia ke Singapura, Dato’ Dr. Azfar Mohamad Mustafar.<\/p>\n

Selain itu, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif, Johor Economic, Tourism and Cultural Office Singapore (JETCO), Saifuddin Abdul Rahim; Yang DiPertua Majlis Perbandaran Kulai, Natazha Hariss serta Konsulat Jeneral Singapura di Johor Bahru, Jeevan Singh.<\/p>\n
